PEPPERMINT PATTY’S RECREATIONS…CORN FREE!!!
Peppermint Patty recreations are a success to me (no one else tried them) Finding our old favorites corn free is nearly impossible so the best way to deal with our frustration is attempt to create it at home. I think I have about a 90% success rate, and this is sugar and chocolate, so no matter how you mess it up, it can’t be THAT bad.

HELPFUL HINTS ON AVOIDING CORN
Corn allergies, sensitivities, intolerances and any other term you want to use for corn hurting you, is daunting. Even worse then trying to avoid corn for yourself it’s avoiding corn for your little one. The younger the child the more difficult your job.
Kid’s don’t explain their pain, their discomfort, their itchy tongue… instead they lash out, they become distant, they are cranky or tired. It may cause a tiny rash on their cheeks, a redness of their ears, some dark circles under their eyes and including but not excluding any other symptom, runny noses.

homemade vanilla extract
I buy my vanilla beans from Amazon.com they have a large selection and the beans are great. I just bought 1/2 pound of Bourbon Vanilla Beans (named after the region not the alcohol beverage) for 25.00 A much more affordable price then 2 beans for 10.00 in the stores. The beans come fresh and soft and smell wonderful.

DR. OZ !!! PLEASE HELP!
We are afraid of an Emergency Medical need, all medications contain corn in one form or another, this is very dangerous for our community. The glucose I.V. is derived from corn, that’s the first thing that is going to be placed in their veins for help. After that the list is expansive, the main problem of this is that when a medical professional is told that there is a corn allergy, they do not think of sugars, acids, preservatives or suspensions, they think of CORN, CORN SYRUP, HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP. I have stood many hours trying to keep my son from getting harmed while we are trying to take care of an emergency situation. It’s very scary.

Contacted www.aimMD.com to try to gain support for Corn Allergy sufferers.
We are being suffocated, some literally, and others due to our decreasing ability to purchase any products with out having corn in our house, on our bodies or in our noses.

skin bumps, ADHD, ADD
This week has been an amazing week of sharing and learning. Gathering amongst friends and family, telling our story to new faces. I was most surprised by the information I was given by my neighbor and my cousin. My cousin received a phone call from an old friend the other day. During the course of the conversation she was informed that one of this womans children has Autism and the other has ADHD, both of them were diagnosed with CORN ALLERGIES.

Latest visit to the Environmental Allergist
It is very overwhelming to have a child that can Jekyll and Hyde very quickly, but, to go to a doctors office who sees this reaction all the time makes us all feel better. I leave not feeling crazy insane over supposidly “excusing” his odd behaviors as being a reaction to corn. It is real, it is being dealt with and we all need work in understanding the causes of these extreme shifts in our children that can make sense instead of being completely confusing.
